MagMutual, a medical liability insurer, has chosen to use OneShield Dragon, including policy, rating, billing and business intelligence, to support the company's future growth strategy. OneShield Dragon is a product of OneShield Inc., a provider of policy and billing core systems for P&C insurers.
OneShield says Dragon will support MagMutual's three major lines of business—medical malpractice, hospital and workers' compensation—with a rating engine to provide service through responsive options for product and coverage choices; a configurable workflow engine that allows for consolidation of multiple processing systems and the complex integrations surrounding these systems; and an open architecture to enable seamless integration with supporting systems, such as customer relationship management, giving them more access to information and services for the insured. Dragon also provides self-service options for the insured as well as supporting agents.
