MassMutual Retirement Division Lauded

MassMutual's Retirement Services Division earned the top overall satisfaction rating among insurers that service retirement plan advisers in a recent study.

In Boston Research Group's "2011 Defined Contribution Plan (DCP) Retirement Advisor Satisfaction and Loyalty Study," MassMutual scored 13 points higher than its nearest competitor and 28 points above the overall industry average.

"MassMutual's belief in the value retirement plan advisers bring to sponsors and participants is long-standing and consistent," says Hugh O'Toole, SVP and head of sales and client management for MassMutual's Retirement Services Division. "Our distribution relationships are based on collaboration and, as a result, our team understands what it takes to help advisors deliver great results on behalf of their clients.

The nationwide survey of retirement advisers was conducted from February to April 2011 and the results of the recordkeeping portion represent 17 leading defined contribution retirement plan providers. Findings are based on the percentage of advisers who were "very satisfied" with the recordkeeper.

"Retirement advisers have rated MassMutual number one in overall satisfaction for very good reason," says Warren Cormier, president, Boston Research Group. "Advisers recognize that MassMutual is delivering in areas critical to a successful practice. Client satisfaction is a key driver of adviser satisfaction and MassMutual's excellent service is worth repeating," he adds.
