Fireman's Fund Insurance Company announced today that Frederick Matteson has joined the company as senior vice president and chief information officer (CIO), overseeing all information technology operations.

"This important appointment reflects the pivotal role technology plays in the company's strategy for profitable growth and the continuous enhancement of our services for the independent agent community and their clients," Jeff Post, Chief Executive Officer of Fireman's Fund said.
