Motorists Mutual Selects IVANS' Downloading Technology

Motorists Mutual Insurance Co. has selected IVANS Inc., an insurance data exchange company, to implement downloading for its commercial lines products. By integrating this technology into Motorists’ policy administration system, called Commercial Advantage, independent agents who represent the company are able to receive updated commercial policy information electronically from within their agency management systems. IVANS says commercial lines products available for download are business owners, commercial auto, general liability, property, umbrella and workers’ compensation.

IVANS says Motorists Mutual has been a customer since 1988, investing in commercial lines download technology. Leveraging IVANS insurance data exchange platform, Motorists’ commercial lines files can be downloaded on virtually any agency management system, including Agency Pro, Applied Systems, Hawksoft, NASA, SIS, Vertafore and Xanatek. Agents also can use Transformation Station, a real-time solution used for billing and claims inquiries as well as quoting/uploading transactions for personal lines, IVANS adds.

IVANS says its Download Solution allows carriers to send policy information in batch format with more than 40 agency management systems quickly and efficiently. Using industry-standard formats, the interface technology solution downloads the data to electronic mailboxes on the carrier and agent side, enabling agents to pick up the responses to their requests as soon as they are available.
