Ireland-based FINEOS Corp., a global provider of insurance enterprise software solutions, reports that its claims solution is in production at Mutual of Omaha (MoO), an Omaha, Neb.-based provider of multi-line insurance and financial services products. MoO will use the FINEOS Claims system to manage claims in its group employee benefits products, including short- and long-term disability products.
Replacing an in-house legacy system previously in place at MoO, the new system is designed to present information to claims managers and administrators in a comprehensive, easy-to-navigate system. The solution is built to deliver rules-driven business process management capabilities, which provides Mutual of Omaha’s business users with the flexibility to make changes or modify processes as their workflows evolve and are optimized. The FINEOS Claims solution, built on the FINEOS Insurance Platform, encompasses the highly scalable and innovative FINEOS Service Oriented Architecture (SOA).
Kathy Brown, director of group insurance claims at Mutual of Omaha, acknowledged that the insurer is positioned to deliver a more efficient claims process as a result of the migration to the new system.
