MyDisabilityPlans, a disability insurance consulting company, has partnered with DocuSign, a provider of cloud-based electronic signature technology. The technology facilitates exchanges of contracts, tax documents and legal materials.
DocuSign said the new functionality offers an easy and secure sign-and-send application process not previously available to MyDisabilityPlans, and that with the inclusion of the technology, disability insurance underwriting has become more seamless through the web.
DocuSign added that MyDisabilityPlan clients now can make important income protection decisions more conveniently and that as this service expands, more insurance carriers will begin to offer this electronic format for application signatures.
