NFP Acquires Insurance West

NFP, a provider of benefits, insurance and wealth management services, has acquired Insurance West Corp. (IWC), an independent insurance agency and provider of P&C insurance in the entertainment industry. IWC will be integrated into NFP Property & Casualty Services Inc. (NFP P&C), enhancing NFP's West Coast presence as the company continues to strategically build out its P&C business. The transaction closed on Sept. 4, 2013.

NFP says IWC provides personal, commercial and financial coverage, with a majority of its business focused on core commercial lines across the manufacturing, transportation, construction and entertainment industries. This includes the Spectra Program, a specialized entertainment solution that covers cameras, sound equipment, post-production, catering and other coverage unique to this industry.

IWC President Robert Sulzinger will be focused on the entertainment insurance division of IWC and will report to Paul Saich, regional president of California for NFP P&C, says NFP.
