NYC insurtech competition seeks entries

The newly launched InsurTech Startup Competition 2020, hosted by InsurTechNY, is currently accepting applications.

The competition will accept two forms of companies: early-stage startups (less than $500,000 in annual run-rate), who will have the opportunity to compete to be titled most investable startup; and growth-stage startup companies who will compete to demonstrate the highest yearly growth potential.

With two tracks and $300,000 in prizes for six winning teams, selected companies will have the opportunity to pitch their business ideas or demo their platform at the InsurTechNY Spring Conference on Mar 19, 2020, where judges will select the winners.

David Gritz, co-founder of InsurTechNY states, "We're looking worldwide for the top startups that support the insurance industry to showcase their platforms. Our team has curated the most active investors and insurance innovation leaders to judge the competition.”

Judges include expert insurance investors and carrier/broker leaders who represent the entire insurance value chain from broker to reinsurance.

InsurTech Startup Competition applications must be submitted by February 7, 2020. Judges will select top 10 startups from each competition based on submitted applications and any additional requested information.
