Fairfield, Ohio - The Ohio Casualty Insurance Co. has launched real-time issuance of policies and endorsements for several commercial lines of business through its agency interface system, P.A.R.I.S. Express. In addition, the company has enhanced its download capabilities by offering download, through its PARIS Connect technology, for commercial auto, businessowners, workers' compensation, general liability, property, package, and its new artisan contractors preferred package to the independent agents who sell its products.In providing these enhancements to its automated systems, Ohio Casualty is aiming to deliver on its promise to its agents: "to handle it efficiently, handle it once," when it comes to overall policy processing for business policyholders.
Ohio Casualty writes auto, home and business insurance policies through approximately 3500 independent agencies across the country. P.A.R.I.S. is Ohio Casualty's proprietary rating and issuance system developed in-house; P.A.R.I.S. Express is the agency interface component of the system.
"By providing the issuance and endorsement capabilities through P.A.R.I.S. Express, we are fulfilling our pledge to agents to create a complete interface system that makes it easy for them to do business with us," says President and Chief Operating Officer Mike Michael. "This means that agents truly can handle business policies end-to-end online, in a totally automated process. We have created a complete single-entry workflow environment for our agents, which includes: quoting, new business issuance, endorsement processing, access to electronic copies of policy documents and download capability for the most widely used agency management systems."
"Agents have had the advantage of using P.A.R.I.S. Express for quoting on accounts for more than a year," adds Michael. "The ability to go one step further to issue the policy and some key endorsements provides an even greater advantage for agents as they serve the needs of their business insurance customers. Often, their ability to sell the account to customers is based on the advantage of quoting and issuing the policy and endorsements immediately. Our real-time system supports this business aspect for our agents. The other total processing aspects, such as the download capability for a wider variety of products, and online access to policy documents, assist the agents in improving their office workflow efficiency, helping them save money and become more productive."
Rollout of the issuance and endorsement enhancement is complete countrywide. The enhanced download capabilities are being introduced this month.
