Outsourcing Association Names Top Companies

Poughkeepsie, N.Y. — The 2008 Global Outsourcing 100, the annual ranking of the world’s best outsourcing service providers, was released by the International Association of Outsourcing Professionals (IAOP), Poughkeepsie, N.Y.

The names of the top companies were unveiled at the opening day of the association’s annual conference—the Outsourcing World Summit. This year’s list included 25 new additions to the list that took part in the program for the first time, showing the heightened level of interest by providers in being named to the list.

Honorees represent both established companies and up-and-comers. Revenue reported by applicants increased 20% over the past two years, and employment of outsourcing service providers also grew nearly 25% during the same period.

IAOP Managing Director of Thought Leadership Jagdish Dalal, a Certified Outsourcing Professional and world-renowned outsourcing expert, led the panel. Other judges on the panel were from Safeco Insurance, BASF, American Express, PricewaterhouseCoopers, Booz Allen Hamilton and Quint Wellington Redwood.

"Getting selected to the Global Outsourcing 100 shows these companies came out on top following a rigorous application process and unbiased competition judged by an independent panel of recognized industry leaders in outsourcing,” said Dalal.

The rankings of the companies named as well as sublists by industry, services and geography will be released in April. The full list of honorees is now available at IAOP’s Web site.
