PointRight Inc., an analytics provider for health care companies and insurers, has released an upgraded version of its Professional Liability (PL) Snapshot, a tool designed to predict the risk of liability claims for long-term care (LTC) facilities.
PointRight says PL Snapshot analytics can support risk analysis and the targeting of risk management, enabling claims to be evaluated and defended. The tool is designed to provide decision support services for stakeholders in the LTC market, and according to the provider, is already used by underwriters, real estate investment trusts, and merger and acquisition organizations to assess an LTC operator's risk before providing insurance coverage to or investing in them.
In the new version, PL Snapshot contains features including a report to provide visibility on more than 100 categories; refined PL Risk score value that evaluates a facility's underlying risk of having a claim of more than $250,000; a staffing-to-acuity analysis; graphical trend analyses; and reports available on-demand, PointRight adds.
