Those hired in IT will work on the technical infrastructure and platforms that support Progressive’s business systems as well as its website. Candidates must have an associate’s and/or bachelor’s degree in an information technology or related discipline, which could include computer science, software engineering or mathematics. For some positions, in lieu of a degree, related work experience is accepted.
Some of the positions, according to Progressive’s website, include: IT Business Leader, IT Database Analyst Lead, and IT Manager - Enterprise Architecture.
Those hired as analysts play key roles in pricing and product analysis. Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree in finance, mathematics, accounting, economics, statistics or the equivalent.
The other positions Progressive is looking to fill by the end of September range from sales to service to claims at its Austin and Cleveland contact centers.
Phone representatives will sell policies, answer customer questions, and help customers file claims after car accidents. Jobs require a minimum of two years’ post-secondary education or two years’ work experience in a customer service environment.
