QBE NAU Crop Insurance has introduced Field Insights, a new crop management tool helping farmers manage field risk associated with inclement weather.

QBE aggregates third-party data like weather radar, wind speed and moisture levels, plus its own growth models based on that weather, to give clients a high-level view of their fields as a value-added service to their farmer clients. Interested policyholders can set up access to Field Insights through their agents, but the information is delivered in a mobile app or online portal.

“Field Insights is a great example of how we provide our agents with valuable tools to offer their farmers in order to help them manage risk," said Michael Deal, chief marketing and technology officer for the Ramsey, Minnesota-based company. "Field Insights [also] helps us continue to be a leader in technology in the field of crop insurance.”
