SAP Forms Dedicated Industry Cloud Organization

SAP AG, an enterprise application software company, has created a dedicated team to develop prescriptive, industry-based cloud road maps.

SAP’s industry cloud offerings are intended to run on SAP Cloud powered by SAP HANA via SAP HANA Enterprise Cloud, a subscription-based cloud service used by customers to run SAP applications and manage big data on one business platform.

SAP plans to work with its customers and partners to form applications to work across the 25 industries the company serves. In the industry cloud model, partners and customers are can work with SAP on industry cloud offerings. These offerings can give customers specialized business processes and interfaces that can be deployed across a public, private or hybrid cloud infrastructure. 

SAP will focus on its customers' most relevant business problems, and then work to develop industry cloud solutions. A new generation of customers can imagine forward-looking, industry-specific use cases better than any team of in-house software developers, SAP said.
