Selective Insurance Group, a holding company for eight property/casualty insurance companies, announced 10 officer appointments by its subsidiary, Selective Insurance Company of America.
Kimberly Burnett was named EVP, Chief Human Resources Officer. Burnett joined Selective in 1989 and has served in a variety of Human Resource positions including VP, Human Resources; AVP of Leadership and Professional Development; AVP and manager of Employee Relations; and Human Resources generalist. She is also a member of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) and holds the designation of Senior Professional in Human Resources from SHRM.
Yanina Hupka has been named SVP, Chief Risk & Reinsurance Officer. Previously serving as VP of Reinsurance and ERM Manager, Hupka joined Selective in September 2000 as a senior reinsurance accountant. Before coming to Selective, she was a reinsurance technical analyst with Frontier Insurance Company. She holds the Associate in Reinsurance (ARe) and Associate in Insurance Accounting and Finance (AIAF) designations from the Insurance Institute of America.
Pamela Keough has been named SVP, IT Control & Enterprise Services, after previously serving as SVP, Information Officer for General Reinsurance Corporation. Keough joined Selective in December 2011. She is also a Life Office Management Association Associate and has an Associate in General Insurance designation.
David Colarusso has been named VP, director of Safety Management. Colarusso joined Selective in 2002 as a field loss control representative. In 2006, he was promoted to Safety Management Supervisor in Selective's Mid-Atlantic Region. Prior to that, he was a Construction Safety Specialist with Travelers Insurance.
Stephen Crosta has been named VP, assistant general counsel, Insurance Operations. Crosta joined Selective in 1997 as a staff attorney, before, in 2002, serving as area VP for William H. Connolly & Associates, a Division of Arthur J. Gallagher Risk Management Services, Inc. Crosta returned to Selective in 2007 as Corporate Counsel, Insurance Operations.
Joseph Kristel has been named VP, Claims, for Stonecreek Specialty Underwriters, a division of Selective. Kristel joined Selective in November 2011. Prior to that, he was a Claims Manager with James River Insurance.
AVP appointments include: Michael Baisley, Investments; Patty Horvath; Line of Business Manager; David Rosen, Line of Business Manager; and Zhikun Wu, Director of Quantitative Risk Management, ERM & Reinsurance.
