The Alliance for Sound State Uniform Regulatory Efficiency (ASSURE) has launched a new Web site, www.assureusa.org, which is designed to serve as an educational, advocacy, and recruitment tool for the coalition's efforts to defend and improve state regulation of insurance. Insurance Commissioner Mike Pickens of Arkansas, one of the states that has formed a state ASSURE coalition, says the new site will highlight the significant progress that the states have made in modernizing the oversight of the insurance industry.
