Solera Holdings, Inc. has announced the acquisition of Enservio, Inc., a provider of SaaS-based software and services to the property contents insurance marketplace.

As part of the agreement, Enservio will deliver next-generation digital home applications to Solera’s clients, adding to its current predictive analytics, preemptive fraud and personal identity verification and security services. The deal adds to the recent trend of vendor M&A activity that has swept the industry, as insurance technology providers align themselves to create better market position.

"With more than $10 billion in contents claims history, Enservio's solutions are trusted by the finest and most reputable insurers in the U.S.," said Tony Aquila, Solera's founder, chairman and CEO, in a statement. "We look forward to working with Enservio's leadership team to deliver even more innovative solutions to all participants in the asset ownership marketplace at a pace faster than ever before."

Solera’s acquisition of Enservio is expected to close by the end of the third quarter, concluding on September 30.
