NEW CSF DESIGNER FEATURESMetavante Corp., Milwaukee, has added a number of features to its CSF Designer document composition application:

* New tools designed to reveal a document template's underlying structure and formatting rules.

* Create "read-only" document versions with components to preserve working-draft incarnations. This allows previous version resources or components to be easily regenerated while staging applications from development to production.

* E-mail integrated object approval process designed to reduce the time to market for new documents or components.

* Integrating CSF Designer with Metavante electronic presentment and payment facilitates document content control with a single tool to drive e-billing efficiencies.


MountainView Software, a Kaysville, Utah-based division of Gallagher Bassett Services Inc., enhanced its claims reporting package ClaimZone Reporter to speed and simplify collecting, reporting and distributing workers compensation and liability claims. Claims can be reported online and then imported into virtually any claims management system. ClaimZone Reporter's paperless archiving capability also enables claims adjusters to save forms in mid-process for completion at a later date. Previously entered claims can be searched and retrieved for reference or comparison. Current OSHA forms are also accessible for processing online. While standard reporting form formats are available, customized forms or questionnaires can be created for many claim types-workers' compensation, auto liability, property/casualty and specialty liability claims.


A full service online system from Liberty International Underwriters-a New York-based division of Liberty Mutual Insurance Co.-targets clients looking for Open Ocean Cargo insurance. is designed to enable agents and brokers to complete the entire process-from application to issuance of certificates-without having to find an underwriter. Agents and brokers choose when they want to work directly with LIU Cargo underwriters to tailor client-specific coverage. With $70 million in capacity, an on-staff marine engineering team and a master mariner-led claims department, the system negotiates, quotes, binds and issues policies and handles submissions that require coverage for domestic transit and associated risks.


The release of 3.0 of Jacada Fusion process optimization platform expands Atlanta-based Jacada Ltd.'s non-invasive integration solution Desktop Automation. Desktop Automation is designed to provide development and runtime facilities for monitoring a user's interaction with a number of business applications, capturing and publishing events triggered as a result of the user interaction and responding to them either synchronously or asynchronously. Desktop Automation can be used for internal governance and is designed to automate complex or repetitive navigational sequences, automate the population of data into application fields, and force and monitor desktop behavior.


Costa Mesa, Calif.-based FileNet Corp. USA's Records Manager Suite now includes an intelligent, rules-based capture and management solution for unmanaged records at the file system level. FileNet Records Crawler controls and audits the records declaration process, automating the decision of how to manage the record based on corporate standards and procedures-not on individual preferences or interpretations of policies. FileNet Records Manager then controls the balance of the record's lifecycle, including retention, access control, privacy and the disposition process including destruction.


India-based 3i Infotech Ltd., integrated its PREMIA policy-management solution with the Jersey City, N.J.-based ISO Properties Inc.'s Rating Service, a policy rating system and rate-management solution for property and casualty insurers. The combined solution adds ISO's automated, pre-validated advisory content, insurance program customization and advanced rate-maintenance capabilities to PREMIA's existing insurance management solutions. PREMIA supports quoting, policy administration, billing, claims, reinsurance and accounting on a single platform.


Pegasystems Inc., a Cambridge, Mass., provider of process and rules technology, is upgrading its SmartBPM Suite, software designed to optimize the management of constantly changing business processes. The software's enhanced capabilities includes AJAX "hover and see" automation for end users and "develop once, deploy everywhere" language localization. The upgrade also features enhanced ergonomics for developers.


Cybersettle Inc., a White Plains, N.Y., online dispute resolution company, launched Cybersettle 5.0, shifting platforms from Classic ASP to Microsoft's ASP.NET. The product is Web-service enabled and contains defined application, transaction and data layers, giving users the ability to get real-time updates on claims cases, support and settle related claims together and share documents online.


Information storage management provider EMC Corp., Hopkinton, Mass., launched two new products: Documentum Archive Services for Email and for Reports. The new products leverage EMC's content management technology and use a unified archiving platform. EMC's platform is designed to enable customers to employ a common set of services for collecting, retaining, migrating, securing and discovering all types of information, making it possible to search and retrieve information for compliance and legal discovery.
