Symphony Technology Group has acquired Aon eSolutions Inc., the risk management information systems business unit of Aon Risk Solutions, for an undisclosed amount. Aon Risk Solutions is the risk management business of Aon Plc. Symphony Technology Group offers software, and internet and technology services.
eSolutions is a risk, claims and safety software, services and applications company with about 300 employees. As part of the transaction, Aon Risk Solutions will resell eSolutions' iVOS and RiskConsole RMIS applications to its clients, pursuant to a multi-year distribution agreement. Symphony Technology Group has also offered to acquire the portion of Aon Risk Solutions' business in France that has historically supported Aon eSolutions Inc.
The eSolutions business will be transitioned to owners who focus the software sector. With investment from a partner focused on software application, eSolutions expects to grow, said the company. The partnership means more resources and opportunities, and a strong platform, resulting in a favorable value proposition for clients, the company added.
