The Hartford Declares Swift CFO

The Hartford Financial Services Group Inc. has named Christopher Swift as EVP and CFO. Swift will report to Liam McGee, The Hartford’s chairman, president, and CEO. The Hartford also announced that current CFO, Lizabeth Zlatkus, will take on the role of chief risk officer, and also will report to McGee.

Swift has worked in the insurance industry for more than 27 years, and at age 32 became partner of KPMG’s Chicago office. Before joining The Hartford, Swift previously held the position of vice chairman and CFO of AIG subsidiary American Life Insurance Co. (ALICO), where he oversaw the company’s global operations. Swift also assumed the role of CFO at Global Life Insurance and Retirement Services of AIG and of AIG American General Life Cos., and served as head of annuity operations.
