Three New AVPs for GEICO

GEICO announced three new AVP’s in the last several days: Maria Scarangella has been named AVP of underwriting in the company’s Tuscon office; Heather McIntyre has been named AVP of underwriting in the company’s Midwest regional headquarters in Macon, Ga.; and Andrea Bradley has been named AVP of centralized services, also in the Macon, Ga., office.

Of the three, Scarangella has the longest tenure with the insurer, starting her career with the insurer in 1985 in GEICO’s Woodbury, N.Y., office working as a claims associate. She had served as sales director in the company’s San Diego regional office since 2003. Her new role in the Tuscon office carries primary responsibility for the states of Arizona, Utah, Nevada, Oregon, Idaho, Montana and Washington.

Bradley has been with the company since 1991, serving as an examiner before working her way up the ladder to now, as she succeeds John Little, who was also recently promoted to AVP of underwriting for GEICO’s southeast office.

McIntyre succeeds Rick Hoagland, who was promoted to VP of GEICO’s national claims operations. She has been with the company since 2003.
