Towers Watson Appoints 3 Brokerage Execs

Towers Watson, a global professional services company, has appointed three senior specialist insurance brokers to its crisis management brokerage and consultancy operation, which will be headquartered in New York.

“We are very pleased to bring on these outstanding and highly respected brokerage executives in the crisis management field, and to broaden our crisis group into the North American market,” said Christof Bentele, chief broking officer in the crisis management business at Towers Watson. “ This expansion confirms our commitment to building the leading crisis management brokerage company globally.”

Mark Steddon has joined the operation as global head of terrorism and political violence brokerage. Previously he worked at Aon and has 15 years of experience, including placement and management of a international terrorism accounts across many industries. He is based in London.

Corina Müller Monaghan will head North American operations and focus on political and credit risk insurance brokerage for companies in emerging markets. Previously she worked for Willis.

Steve Robinson will lead brokerage activities related to kidnap and ransom, extortion and related security risks. For the past three years he operated his own specialist-brokerage business.

Robinson and Müller Monaghan are the first hires for the U.S. based crisis management business and will operate out of New York.
