Trading Platform For International Risk

CGI Group (Europe) Ltd. and Hewlett-Packard Co. (HP) have delivered a business platform for Kinnect Inc., a Lloyd's of London-sponsored initiative to improve the efficiency of trading relationships within the international commercial lines insurance market. Montreal, Canada-based CGI Group and Hewlett-Packard, Palo Alto, Calif., are providing an adaptable, accessible and secure platform that enables commmmercial lines trading partners to communicate risk electronically. Using the platform, insurance underwriters can improve their daily working practices by giving them accuracy and timliness of incoming data, more time to analyze risk, and better exposure management, according to the companies, and brokers can concentrate on their core business. Previously known as Project Blue Mountain, Kinnect enables participants to transfer data and information securely with the flexibility to choose which of their processes are supported by the platform. This ensures Kinnect customers retain unique aspects of their businesses, such as data, processes, systems and brand.
