Travelers has launched a new self-service portal to expedite workers’ compensation claims, the company announced.

The web-based tool, MyTravelers for Injured Employees, provides injured workers with real-time connectivity to claims professionals, notifications of status updates, access to a network of healthcare providers and reimbursement information for lost wages or out-of-pocket medical expenses, according to the company. MyTravelers is available to clients on mobile and desktop computer.
“We know that better outcomes are achieved when injured employees are closely engaged in their claims,” said Vinny Armentano, SVP of claim at Travelers, in a statement. “We continue to enhance our service with innovations that provide a better customer experience, improve patient care and reduce expenses for our customers.”
MyTravelers for Injured Employees is a part of a larger suite of workers’ comp investments made by the New York City-based insurer since 2015. The company’s Early Severity Predictor aims to reduce the use of opioids among injured workers. Travelers also sponsors a ConciergeCLAIM program where nurses are assigned to clients, helping them through the recovery and claims process.
