United Benefit Advisors Launches New Compliance Solutions Program

Member Firms of United Benefit Advisors LLC (UBA), an employee benefits advisory organization, announced access to its new Compliance Solutions Program is open to all employers by way of the UBA Web site. The Compliance Solution Program is designed to help owners, C-level management, HR officers and staff, benefits managers, compensation management and corporate health and wellness officers address the increasing challenges posed by more complex compliance regulations and rapidly shifting benefits programs.

The UBA Employer Compliance Solution Program helps employers maximize their time by making complicated benefit and HR compliance information easy to understand and readily available through a variety of communication vehicles.

“We believe the three-pronged compliance initiative, which consists of a webinar series, compliance alerts, and a quarterly newsletter is one of the most important employer-focused initiatives that UBA has ever undertaken.” said Ron Dutton, UBA board member and president of RJ Dutton Inc. a UBA Member Benefits Advisory Firm headquartered in Overland Park, Kansas. “Keeping on top of benefits and employment law is no easy task. The Employer Webinar Series features frequent presentations by the attorneys of Spencer Fane Britt & Browne LLP. Employer Compliance Alerts and the Benefits and Employment Briefing newsletters are also authored by Spencer Fane Britt & Browne.

Webinars are generally scheduled for the second Tuesday of every month at 2 p.m. EST, and have included time-sensitive topics such as administering the 65% COBRA premium subsidy, requirements under the 2009 stimulus package, changes to ADA, and FMLA regulation updates. Effects of CHIP expansion on employer health plans is scheduled for May 12, and expected changes to the Employee Free Choice Act is scheduled for June 9.
