Vertafore Launches Cloud-based Collaboration Tool

Vertafore, a provider of software and information to the insurance industry, reports that its WorkSmart Engage solution is available. WorkSmart Engage is designed to provide independent insurance agencies with secured workspaces to share and collaborate on client and policy documents, and team communications in real-time. The product the first and only insurance-specific cloud-based collaboration tool, according to Vertafore.

The Engage module is part of Vertafore’s WorkSmart solution, which is a workflow and file management system that taps into the agent’s management system to enable agencies, carriers and MGAs to communicate and share work in real-time.

"WorkSmart Engage is about getting accounts submitted faster and reducing our overall costs associated with writing business," said Donna Wilson of Bowen, Miclette, & Britt. "Knowing that I can communicate, collaborate and exchange key information with carriers and clients securely from my iPad is a game-changer."

Agencies can leverage WorkSmart Engage for working with adjusters and clients on large commercial claims; collaboration with underwriters on renewals, remarkets and new business; with reinsurers on alternative risk transfers; and when working with third-party outsourcing firms for projects such as policy checking, notes the company.
