Vertafore will continue to manage its Software-as-a-Service-based products internally, while Savvis—a leader of managed and outsourced IT services—will operate Vertafore’s scale-related IT infrastructure. Vertafore’s products will continue to run on company equipment managed by Vertafore employees.
“The new data center will give our customers faster results and greater peace of mind,” says Darryl Lemecha, Vertafore CIO. “Savvis’ facility allows us to better accommodate the rapid growth of our SaaS offerings, and our customers will benefit both from Savvis’ dedication to data center infrastructure and from continued product innovation from Vertafore. This move will allow us to focus on what we do best: creating, delivering and supporting our suite of industry-leading products.”
The move, which should be completed by May 2010, will be seamless due to the use of remote data replication and duplicate hardware, Vertafore says, and customers will not experience any disruption to their service during the transition.
