The Wawanesa Mutual Insurance Co., a P&C insurer, has selected PolicyCenter as its new underwriting and policy administration solution and BillingCenter to manage its billing operations. The solutions are products of Guidewire Software Inc., a provider of core system software to P&C insurers. Wawanesa also plans to use Guidewire add-on modules Rating Management, Reinsurance Management and Client Data Management.
Guidewire says PolicyCenter and BillingCenter will help modernize Wawanesa’s systems, transform and increase its flexibility. The company also wanted to provide its staff with the tools needed to properly service brokers and customers with the speed and methods by which these groups expect to be serviced.
Guidewire adds that PolicyCenter and BillingCenter will enable Wawanesa to leverage automated underwriting rules and real-time functionality; improve service levels for customers and brokers; accelerate speed-to-market; and benefit from a suite of integrated systems built on a modern technology platform.
