Weber to Take on Celent CEO Role

Craig Weber will take the helm as CEO of research and advisory services firm Celent, a division of Oliver Wyman Inc.

Weber will replace Mike Harding, who was appointed CEO in 2009 shortly after the acquisition of Celent by Oliver Wyman. Harding will resume his Oliver Wyman responsibilities while retaining his role as Chairman at Celent.

Weber has been a senior VP, with global responsibility for Celent's Insurance division since 2007. In recent years, he led the team's expansion in North America, Europe, Asia and Latin America. He joined the firm in 2002. As of now, no information has been made available regarding Celent’s plans to find a replacement for Weber’s previous position.

"Craig has been instrumental in building Celent's market-leading insurance practice, and will bring a wealth of financial services experience to his new role," says Harding. "I'm confident that his vision for the business and passion for delivering client value will help Celent continue to evolve and grow."

Celent's analyst team is organized by financial services industry vertical: Banking, Securities & Investments, as well as Insurance. These analysts produce monthly research reports for our members, and are available to members to further explore issues and questions that may arise.
