Western Heritage Names Anthony Washington as President

Western Heritage Insurance Co. has promoted Anthony Washington from VP of underwriting to president. He replaces Mike Horsman, who retired with more than 30 years of experience in the insurance industry. Washington reports to Mike Miller, president of Scottsdale Insurance Co.

Anthony is an experienced insurance executive with nearly 20 years of experience in sales and commercial underwriting. Before coming to Western Heritage as VP of underwriting in April 2011, Anthony served as regional VP of Allied Insurance. He started with Nationwide Insurance in 1999 as associate VP of commercial underwriting.

Horsman’s law background brought him to Scottsdale Insurance Co. in 1996 as the senior VP of claims. In addition to leading and transforming the claim organization, Horsman sponsored major corporate initiatives and was appointed president of Western Heritage in 2006.
