Whisker Labs introduces frozen pipe alerts to Ting
Whisker Labs announced Ting is expanding beyond electrical fire prevention to also include water loss prevention. The new feature is available to Ting customers with an active sensor.

Everest announces key leadership appointments
Katy Bradica has been named group chief actuary for reinsurer and specialty insurer Everest Group, Ltd, overseeing pricing, reserving, and analytics across all operations. Attila Kerényi will serve as group chief risk officer and both positions will become effective in early 2026. Kerényi will oversee the company's risk strategy, governance and capital resilience.
"Katy and Attila are exceptional leaders whose global experience, technical acumen, and strategic vision reflect the caliber of talent Everest continues to attract," said Jim Williamson, Everest President and CEO. Leadership transition at Crawford
Crawford president and chief executive officer, Rohit Verma, will be leaving the company at the end of the year for a new opportunity. W. Bruce Swain, Jr., the company's chief financial officer, will serve as interim president and CEO on Jan. 1, 2026. Holly Boudreau, Crawford's SVP of Tax, Treasury and Finance will succeed Swain as chief financial officer.
Non-executive Board Chair Jesse C. ZestyAI's Z-WATER greenlit in 5 states
ZestyAI announced its non-weather water risk model, Z-Water, has been accepted for use in underwriting in Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Louisiana and Wisconsin.
Bryan Rehor, director of regulatory strategy at ZestyAI, said in a statement: "Non-weather water losses place real pressure on carriers' books, but they're also highly preventable when you understand where the risks actually lie," said . "Z-WATER helps insurers pinpoint those vulnerabilities at the property level and price them appropriately, while meeting regulators' expectations for clarity and fairness."
Applied Systems introduces Epic Dashboards enhancements and new administrator certification program
Applied Systems announced new innovations to Epic Dashboards, the interactive reporting and analytics capability embedded in Applied Epic. In addition, Applied launched the Epic Dashboards Admin Certification Program, designed to help users to sharpen their skills for building custom dashboards.
The new enhancements include:
- Client Contracts and Services Dashboards to help clients track the number and statuses of services and contracts.
- Custom Home Dashboard which offers access to the highest priority data to track pressing tasks.
- Updated Drop-Down menu for easy access to different dashboards
- Customized Viewable Dashboards to manage dashboard access and data visibility
- Claims Dashboards for tracking open and closed claims and deliver a range of insights into patterns, statuses and trends.
- Client Maps to see visual locations for addresses entered in the Account Detail to make better marketing decisions
- Risk Maps for viewing client locations and their risk for a variety of events such as severe weather and to ensure they have proper coverage.
The Epic Dashboards Admin Certification Program will help agencies maximize their capabilities for Epic Dashboards and combines hands-on training with data best practices.
Allianz Commercial report finds geopolitics and cyber risk exposures will affect D&O in 2026
Cyber liability risks for directors and officers have also increased recently stemming from increased expectations for board level supervision of cyber security and an increase in more litigation. Data breaches, ransomware attacks and technical glitches have triggered claims against directors, with ransomware accounting for approximately 60% of the value of cyber claims.
Six Nationwide associates celebrate 50 years with the company
Nationwide recently honored six associates who have been with the company for a half a century. The company recreated the 1970s office space they worked in complete with vintage cubicles and analog equipment.
Among those recognized were: Jule Revie, the company's longest-tenured employee with 56 years of service, who works in Nationwide's P&C indemnity operations. Teresa McGraw, who works in Nationwide's investments office.Sonja Hutcherson in mainframe engineering and Patricia Darst of service desk leadership, and Paula "Yvette" Knott and Patricia Connors, who are part of Nationwide Financial.
"Fifty years at one company is more than tenure, it's a testament to purpose," Nationwide CEO Kirt Walker said. "These associates have served generations of customers and amassed a combined 309 years of experience. They've trained, supported and inspired thousands of colleagues. And they've helped Nationwide deliver on its mission with extraordinary care, day after day."
ATI Restoration names Ryan Moore CEO
Ryan Moore has been named chief executive officer of ATI Restoration, succeeding David Carpenter who leaves following four years of leadership. Moore's father, Gary Moore, founded the company in 1989.

"I grew up in this business, learning restoration in the field, and have seen firsthand the hard work, integrity, and teamwork that have shaped us for nearly four decades.
