Accenture and Hortonworks Collaborate on Big Data

Accenture, a global management consulting, technology services and outsourcing company, and Hortonworks, a contributor to and provider of enterprise Apache Hadoop, have entered into a big data and digital alliance. The companies will collaborate on making large structured and unstructured datasets – including operational, video and sensor data – more accessible to organizations for insight-driven decision-making.? ?Working with Hortonworks, Accenture said it will also support clients who are looking to marry the Hortonworks Data Platform with their existing IT infrastructure, in order to build highly scalable hybrid solutions that enable them to better manage, transform and analyze data at scale for on demand insights.

?Accenture and Hortonworks began working together in 2012 to develop a collaboration that would bring together the strength of the Hortonworks Data Platform, an open source, tested and certified Apache  Hadoop data platform, along with Accenture’s consulting and delivery practice.?
