Allianz Life’s Libbe Wins ‘Women in Finance’ Award

Katie Libbe, VP of consumer insights for Allianz Life Insurance Co. of North America, has been named one of Minnesota’s Top Women in Finance. The awards from “Finance & Commerce,” a Minnesota business publication, honor women across the state who have distinguished themselves through outstanding contributions to “their professions, their communities and society at large.”

Allianz says Libbe received the award for her contributions as a thought leader on retirement income planning. She led the Allianz Life 2013 Women, Money & Power Study, which surveyed more than 2,000 women in America about how they viewed finances and retirement planning. The study led to the creation of new educational materials for financial professionals and has positioned Libbe as lead spokesperson for Allianz Life on the topic.

Libbe leads a team responsible for educating consumers and financial professionals about retirement strategies, Allianz says. The team develops educational materials and programs based on pioneering consumer research and analysis. In addition, she is responsible for the Allianz Academy and Advanced Markets teams that represent Allianz Life at more than 800 financial seminars every year. She also serves on the Financial Literacy Council at Allianz Life that supports financial education in Minnesota’s schools
