American Fidelity Assurance Selects Aruba

American Fidelity Assurance Co. has selected Aruba’s MOVE architecture to support its goal of a 100-percent mobile environment. MOVE is a product from Aruba Networks Inc., a provider of network access solutions for the mobile enterprise. American Fidelity has implemented an Aruba 802.11ac all-wireless network in its headquarters facility to deliver mobility and collaboration to employees, and to reduce IT costs.

The new network, which also uses Microsoft Lync to eliminate all wired desk phones in the building, supplements the firm’s existing Aruba infrastructure already deployed across American Fidelity’s 26 locations, Aruba said. The wireless network eventually will serve more than 1,000 employees.

American Fidelity Assurance recognizes the need to provide a mobile environment to meet the needs of mobile workers entering the workforce, Aruba said. The company has standardized on Aruba’s wireless LAN solutions using a mix of Aruba mobility controllers, 802.11n access points, Aruba switches, Aruba AirWave Network Management and ClearPass Access Management System; the latter to support mobile device onboarding and security, and guest access. The company also connects some of its smaller, remote offices using Aruba’s Remote Access Points.
