In the new role, Fleischer is responsible for underwriting for Argo Group’s Excess and Surplus Lines and Commercial Specialty business segments in the United States. He joined Argo Group in 2010 and previously served as chief underwriting officer for the company’s Excess and Surplus Lines segment.

In all, Argo announced three new appointments to management in the United States. All three will report to Kevin Rehnberg, president of Argo Group U.S. operations.

Aside from naming a chief underwriting officer, the company also named Arthur Davis the president of Argo Group’s Excess and Surplus Lines business segment and will be responsible for the segment’s key operating functions, including underwriting, claims and business development. Davis joined Argo Group with its acquisition of Colony Insurance Co. in 2001 and previously served as SVP responsible for the segment’s binding operations.

Ron Vindivich has been promoted to president of Trident Insurance and will now lead the business unit of Argo Group that handles commercial insurance for small to mid-sized public entities in the United States.
