BB&T Insurance Adds Online Services

In an effort to expand accessibility, BB&T Insurance increased its line-up of personal products online to offer homeowners and travel insurance policies for purchase through the broker’s website.

BB&T’s previously offered an array of personal products online, including auto, renters and term life. Now, the broker’s online travel insurance, underwritten by Stonebridge Casualty Insurance Company, makes available quotes and policies for single- or multi-trip travel protection. Its online homeowners insurance, underwritten by Safeco Insurance, also provides real-time quotes as well as competitive coverages and rates.

“We want to give our clients a choice in the way they buy their insurance, whether they meet with us in person at one of our agencies, by phone or now through our expanded online presence,” said Cathy Lamoreaux, personal lines manager for BB&T Insurance.
