Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance has selected Accenture’s Duck Creek Suite, which will be delivered through a software-as-a-service model for policy administration, claims and billing.
The system will be hosted by the Accenture Cloud Platform and is intended to enable Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance (BHSI) to consolidate and streamline business processes on a single hosted platform and help the insurer adapt to changing market demands, enhance customer service and maintain lower operating costs, Accenture said.
“We expect Accenture Duck Creek to help us achieve key business objectives including accelerated product launches, enhanced claims management and a streamlined billing process,” said James Roser, CIO, BHSI. “The combination of the full-scale functionality of the Accenture Duck Creek Suite and its ability to offer these capabilities as a cloud solution makes Accenture the ideal business partner for this highly strategic initiative.”
The Accenture Duck Creek Suite includes Duck Creek Billing, Claims and Policy applications, which can be implemented individually or as part of a broader migration strategy, Accenture said. The suite is designed to help P&C insurers of all sizes improve customer service and lower costs by enabling them to configure products, transact lines of business and process claims more efficiently.
BHSI offers commercial P&C, health care professional liability, executive and professional lines insurance in the United States.
