The Chubb Group of Insurance Cos., an organization of property/casualty insurers with affiliates in the United States, Europe, Latin America, Asia and Australia, will host a worldwide brainstorming discussion regarding utilization of social media networks such as Facebook and Twitter at the Risk & Insurance Management Society Inc. conference.

The company said that at the discussion at this year’s conference in Boston, from April 26-29, individuals and business professionals will be able to weigh in on their personal computers and smartphones via software created by Imaginatik, a management and collective intelligence solutions provider.

"We've had a great deal of success using social networking technology to help develop ideas and drive innovation within our own company and with our agents and brokers," said Jon Bidwell, chief innovation officer of Chubb.. "With this event, we hope to engage business leaders and risk managers in a bigger discussion that can help us all navigate the rapidly-evolving, exciting global environment created by social media."
