Desjardins General Insurance Group has selected EIS Group’s digital distribution platform, CustomerCore DXP, to create self-service capabilities for customers and agents, the companies announced.

The new omni-channel software complements Desjardins earlier selection of EIS’ core suite in January 2016. DXP enables the Canadian P&C insurer’s policyholders to receive quotes, buy and manage policies online as well as check open claims, according to the vendor.

Desjardins will additionally leverage DXP’s ability to combine core transactions, services and data from EIS core platform, via APIs, to support users after the modernization is complete.

The companies announced the agreement Tuesday.
