Farmers Appoints Kelso EVP and Chief Marketing Officer

Los Angeles — Farmers Group Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Zurich Financial Services, announced the appointment of Kevin Kelso to the position of Farmers EVP and chief marketing officer. Kelso was previously Farmers EVP and president of personal insurance.

“Kevin and the personal insurance team have been key contributors to the growth we are experiencing today through innovation and the introduction of new products, and I can think of no one better suited to fill this role,” says Paul Hopkins, CEO of Farmers Group Inc.

Kelso joined Farmers in July 1999 as VP of personal lines research & development and held positions in Farmers’ Product Management and State Operations groups before becoming president of Farmers Personal Insurance in July of 2002. In January 2007, he was promoted to EVP.

Kelso represents Farmers as the chair of the Insurance Research Council’s Advisory Board and the vice chair of the Institute for Business and Home Safety. He also serves on the board of the Los Angeles Chamber of Commerce.
