Farmers Group Appoints Lindquist to Executive VP and CFO

Los Angeles — Farmers Group Inc., announced the appointment of Scott Lindquist, currently controller of Genworth Financial, to the position of executive VP & CFO.

Lindquist will take the position recently vacated by Pierre Wauthier, the former of executive VP & CFO. Wauthier left last year to become Zurich Insurance’s group treasurer and head of financial operations at Zurich Corporate Center. 

“I am pleased to announce that Scott Lindquist will join Farmers Insurance, effective Feb. 11, 2008,” says Farmers CEO Paul Hopkins. “He is a leading member of the financial community, and will join Farmers’ already strong financial team. With Scott’s experience and financial expertise, he will quickly become a valued contributor to Farmers’ financial goals.”

Lindquist began his career at PricewaterhouseCoopers, one of the world’s largest accounting firms, rising to the level of partner. In 2002, he joined the Phoenix Companies Inc., a holding company that markets investment products such as life insurance, mutual funds and annuities. In  2005, he accepted the position of controller with Genworth Financial.
