Mark Seale has been appointed AVP of IT operations for Texas-based FirstCare Health Plans.
The company's IT services currently are led by Gerald Shields, who is serving as interim CIO. Seale will report to Shields in his new role, which includes oversight of infrastructure, IT security, and software engineering.
Shields, the former Aflac CIO and health practice leader for The Nolan Company, comments that "Mark brings a wealth of knowledge and experience towards technology operations, specifically within the health care industry. We're excited to have him join our team and support FirstCare's goal of helping Texans lead healthier lives."
Seale last was CTO and SVP of technology for Futura Health Partners, LLC. He also a Strategic Business Unit Executive for Xerox's Healthcare Provider Solutions group. Prior to that, he was the Vice President of IT Operations for Harden Healthcare.
