Hamilton Re Appoints New Head of Information Systems

Hamilton Re, part of Hamilton Insurance Group, has announced Matthew Isaly as its new senior vice president and head of information systems, a newly created role.

Isaly comes to Hamilton Re by way of Xuber, an Xchanging software company recently acquired by CSC, where he recently served as head of product strategy in North America.

Isaly is tasked with helping set the direction of Hamilton Re’s core information systems and executing its IT vision, according to the Bermuda-based company. He will also lead the development and integration of core technologies the reinsurer implements in the future. Isaly, a 20-year P&C insurance veteran, will report to Chief Financial Officer Vanessa Hardy Pickering.

"Hamilton Re aims to lead the way in leveraging data science and analytics to assess and price risk," said Ms. Hardy Pickering, in a statement. "As we continue our build-out of the technology capabilities that will support this goal, we're delighted to have someone with the calibre of Matt's breadth and depth of technology experience on our team."
