Ingersoll Joins Farmers Insurance as VP of Marketing

Los Angeles — John Ingersoll has joined Farmers Insurance Group Inc. as vice president of marketing. In his new role, Ingersoll will assume responsibility for Farmers' marketing, advertising and brand awareness while working with the company's e-Business to develop Internet and direct-mail marketing

Ingersoll began his career as an attorney, specializing in corporate law. Later, he worked with Countrywide Financial Corp., Simi Valley, Calif., as senior vice president of business development. In 1999, he joined the InsWeb Corp. in Westlake Village, Calif., where he was responsible for all aspects of its Southern California operation. Prior to joining Farmers, Ingersoll was vice president of marketing and sales for Woodland Hills, Calif.-based 21st Century Insurance Co.
