iPipeline Partners With Rolling Solutions

Rolling Solutions’ XRAE underwriting engine will be integrated with the term quote engine from iPipeline, a creator of on-demand software that supports marketing, selling and processing solutions for insurance carriers, distributors and producers. iPipeline says the solution is used by 1,200 distributors and their agents for the marketing, selling and processing of insurance in the United States and Canada.

XRAE was developed by Rolling Solutions to address the time and frustration associated with the first step of the life insurance sales process, according to iPipeline. XRAE’s underwriting web service gives life insurance distributors a potential insured’s initial underwriting information, evaluated against the underwriting rules of multiple insurance carriers.

“By integrating our term quote engine with XRAE, we have eliminated the need for an agent to guess someone’s health class,” says Bill Atlee, chief strategy officer for iPipeline. “Now agents can seamlessly receive rules-based underwriting quotes via XRAE for multiple carriers, compare them, and move through the application process knowing the guesswork is gone.”

iPipeline claims XRAE automates the underwriting process by evaluating more than 100,000 specific underwriting rules based on more than 600 potential questions in less than a second to determine the “best case” underwriting classification at each XRAE Partner Carrier.
