Know a Woman in Insurance Leadership?

Many people will agree that women can make a significant impact on their businesses. Women in insurance are no different, and Insurance Networking News makes this known with its Women in Insurance Leadership program. Since its inception four years ago, Insurance Networking News’ presentation of the most influential women in insurance has profiled the extraordinary accomplishments of 22 individuals, whose pursuit of excellence, leadership and professional performance has fostered influence that is redefining the insurance business and technology industry landscape.

"Of the hundreds of women holding executive leadership positions across the carrier, broker and agent communities, INN is privileged to reveal the true leaders, those who are progressing to greater and more diverse positions of influence and authority, and those who are carving a path of excellence for others to follow," says Pat Speer, INN's editor-in-chief.

It is now time to recognize the next group. INN’s 2009 Women in Insurance Leadership program will reveal how six of these women arrived at their respective leadership positions; how they prepare for and manage through difficult change; how they innovate; how they identify new market opportunities that fulfill the financial objectives of their institutions; and how they mentor future leaders, and reach beyond the walls of their institutions to serve the community at large.

This year’s program will include a ranking methodology determined by examining the quantitative and qualitative aspects of an individual's performance, and overall influence on the institution, the industry and the community in which she lives and works. The judges—past winners— also will rank the candidate’s performance based on job complexity, contribution to the institution's top and bottom lines, brand equity/shareholder value creation, corporate governance and ethics, management style and education and on her level of community involvement.

If you know a woman encompassing all of these traits, nominate her at: www.insurancenetworking.com/womenininsurance2009

The top six candidates, along with four “notable achievers,” will be featured in a special report published with our September/October print issue, and will be formally recognized as INN’s 2009 Women in Insurance Leadership at our second annual Women in Insurance Leadership Forum, hosted by Insurance Networking News in partnership with SMA Inc., on September 13-14 in Dallas in conjunction with the IASA Executive Edge conference.
