Majesco Completes Agile Tech Acquisition

Insurance core systems vendor Majesco has completed its acquisition of analytics and BPM provider Agile Technologies, which was announced late last year.

All Agile employees have been integrated into Majesco, the companies say. Agile founder Bill Freitag, now leads Majesco’s insurance technology consulting business as an EVP; partner and co-founder John Johansen is an SVP with responsibility for leading data strategy and business intelligence at Majesco, while partner Robert Buhrle is Majesco’s new VP of client servicing.

“We are pleased to announce the completion of the Agile Technologies acquisition. The acquisition has strengthened Majesco’s offerings in business transformation, data strategy and business process optimization,” says Ketan Mehta, CEO and founder of Majesco, in a statement.

Majesco has been making aggressive moves to shore up its organization and offerings since it was spun off from MajescoMastek in September of last year as an insurance-specific technology vendor.  The company hired former Novarica managing director and Nolan Company SVP Chad Hersh as its EVP for life and annuities in December and besides Agile, announced a merger with Cover-All late last year as well.
