Bethesda, MD–Life insurance standards organization the Insurance Marketplace Standards Association (IMSA) has renewed the membership of five life insurers.
The five carriers are: Ameritas Life Insurance Corp., Lincoln, Neb.; Acacia Life Insurance Co., Bethesda, Md; Union Central Life Insurance Co., Cincinnati, Ohio, and Northwestern Long Term Care Insurance Co. and Northwestern Mutual Life Insurance Co., both based in Milwaukee, Wis.
To qualify for ongoing IMSA membership, the companies are required to undergo an independent review of their marketing, sales and compliance practices every three years.
"These companies have demonstrated a continuing commitment to maintaining high ethical standards," said IMSA president & chief executive officer Brian Atchinson. "We applaud them for their special dedication to serving their customers with honesty and integrity."
