Nine Insurance Companies Recognized for Excellence

StoneRiver, a provider of technology and strategic solutions for the insurance industry, announced the recipients of the Excel Awards during their annual Client Conference, being held this week at Lowe’s Portofino Bay Hotel in Orlando, Florida. In recognition of their unique innovation and leadership, nine clients were honored for their accomplishments with awards in five categories.

In this second year of the Excel program, the Excellence in Value Achievement was added to recognize recipients for their innovative methods of maximizing the value of StoneRiver solutions to achieve corporate goals and improve business results. StoneRiver recognizes CompServices Inc. and Church Pension Group for their resourceful use of solutions and positive return on investment in supporting their business objectives.

The Excel Award for Excellence in Project Management honors organizations for implementing best practices to achieve project milestones in a progressive manner while implementing and maintaining StoneRiver applications. Clients recognized with this award are Shelter Mutual Insurance Company and Utica National Insurance Group.

“Teamwork and the drive to succeed are critical when trying to accomplish any implementation,” stated John Nobles, VP - Director of Claim Operations at Utica National. “Our Utica team members worked tirelessly with their StoneRiver counterparts to deliver the system on time, on budget. The implementation of the V6 web platform of Claims Workstation positions us for future growth and opens the door for future claim initiatives.”

The Excellence in Technical Innovation award was presented to organizations that are highly rated in progressive use of technology through implementation and integration of StoneRiver products. The winners named in this category are Alfa Life Insurance Company and SCF Arizona.

The foundation for the StoneRiver Summit, the Excel Award for Excellence in Customer Community Leadership, recognizes individuals for overall superior leadership within the customer communities for their respective StoneRiver products. Clients receiving this honor are National Guardian Life Insurance Company and Citizens Property Insurance.

In the fifth category, Excellence in the Use of Alliance products, the award was presented to LUBA Workers’ Comp for effectively integrating a StoneRiver alliance product to improve business processes and efficiencies. StoneRiver, teamed with Agency Port, built an integrated quoting solution for LUBA’s agent community. “Working with LUBA to improve the ease of doing business for their agency force was a great opportunity to work with StoneRiver to automate the complete new business process,” stated Don Chase, senior vice president of business development for Agency Port.
