State College, Pa. —
TAP members voted in their new co-convener this past quarter when Shelley Butler, document management consultant for Penn State and OIT's TAP co-convener since July 2007, had to step down from the leadership role due to the rapid growth in demand for DocFinity imaging services at the university campuses. Greg Cook, imaging support technician from Michigan Millers Mutual Insurance Co., who has been a TAP member since July 2007 and has proven to be a valuable and active participant, takes her place. OIT and TAP look forward to the input and vision that he and Steve Emrick, CDIA+ of Broadcast Music Inc., the panel's other co-convener, will share through the Technical Advisory Panel.
Two new members provide additional representation from the health care and entertainment industries. Amanda Hassler hails from LabCorp, a clinical laboratory based in Burlington, N.C. Jeff Davis joins TAP as a second representative from Broadcast Music Inc., Nashville, Tenn., a non-profit U.S. corporation that collects license fees from businesses that use music and then distributes royalties to the 350,000 musical creators and copyright owners it represents.
